Devonport High School for Boys is a Foundation Grammar, Specialist Engineering and Specialist Languages School located in the South West of the city of Plymouth. We have a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and our broad provision of extracurricular activities - be it performance, adventure, competition or sport.
Over recent years as an Engineering Specialist School* we have been pleased to invest substantial extra funds in exciting new Technology equipment and to enhance our Maths and Science facilities. In 2006 we were judged a High Performing Specialist School and successfully applied for our second Specialist Status for Modern Languages. We will provide stimulating courses in French, German and Spanish which will build upon our ‘Latin for All’ foundation, and will challenge our able linguists with Mandarin Chinese. The Governors have also been able to enhance the resources available to English, Humanities, and the Expressive Arts to ensure a balanced provision across the whole curriculum. Recent projects include the new Sports Hall, Refectory, Music Centre, Fitness Suite, Library, Reception, Staff Room, ATC 197 Squadron HQ, Individual Needs Centre and Sixth Form Centre. Latest School News
Theatre works: maybe the final update?

The theatre project is going very well with TEC Construction handing over the completed structural works on time so that the specialist contractors could come in to efficiently do their work. The estimated completion date is now early May.
British team wins F1 in Schools competition

Team Pulse, from Devonport High School for Boys in Plymouth, have been crowned F1 in Schools world champions at the 2008 World Finals, which were held in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, ahead of this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix.
