We’re planning a day of charity events to support Year 11 student Simon Gerry.
The whole school will be supporting Simon’s chosen charities during a special fundraising day on Wednesday 6 December 2017 and we’d like to ask for your help.
The school and Simon will be raising funds for two charities, Clic Sargent and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Activities will include a showcase football match with Simon’s selected players, a dance competition, stalls and games.
We also have many prizes on offer in a big charity raffle.
How to Donate
DHSB families can make a donation using their child’s WisePay account.
Donations can also be accepted on Simon’s Justgiving webpage.
Quote from Simon
This is now my second fundraising campaign. Previously we managed to raise more than £8,000 for CLIC Sargent thanks to the generosity of nearly 300 different people.
I’ve set a target of £1,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust although I’m hopeful and confident that we will smash that target.
The money raised at our school charity day will be used to make a difference within the South West.
The Teenage Cancer Trust have supported me by spending a huge amount of money improving the quality of life in Bristol Children’s hospital where most of my treatment is being carried out. For that reason, I’d like to give back to the charity so that they can do even more to help others.
