I’ve been itching to press ‘live’ for months as I have seen the site building. It’s a beautifully designed reflection of our culture and ambition. Plaudits to Crunch Creative and Nick Jackson for their excellent work.
Also producing excellent work is Year 9 student Yasin Soliman who has designed a new display for our screen in Reception. Visitors can now see our latest tweets and keep up to date with the all-important House competition.
At the beginning of this week we welcomed back Mr Butcher and Mrs Delve who travelled to our partner school, Shining Stars, in Nepal over half term.
There are just a few places left at our 11+ Familiarisation Session which we are providing free of charge this year. Here’s a reminder of the rationale and intended outcomes.
The session is for boys in Year 5 and if you would like your son to take part please call our reception team on 01752 208787.
Our open evening this year will be held on Wednesday 2 July at 6.00pm.
Please take some time to read my blog posts about our Library and get involved by leaving comments or submitting your creative ideas and plans.
Mr Spearing has shared with me this newsletter from the Prince’s Teaching Institute which highlights the Science S Factor workshops we took part in with Plymouth University. (Scroll to the foot of the link).
Congratulations to Joe Hagan-Burt who scored a century during the Year 10 cricket match against Stover School yesterday, and thanks to Mr Bunney for keeping us up to date with the score.
Well done to Reece Worth who took first place in both the 5K and 7K junior races at #BESTFEST in Majorca during half term.
The DHSB Surf Club met for the first time yesterday and enjoyed good conditions at Bigbury.
We are currently recruiting for an ICT Technician. Please pass on these details to anyone you think may have the skills we’re looking for.
