This is a FREE conference for young people in Y7 and above with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to attend with their parent carers or as part of a school visit. It takes place on Tuesday 26th September 2023 at the Guildhall in Plymouth (PL1 2AA).
It is an important event for those who want to find out about different next-step pathways and opportunities.
At the conference, you will find lots of exhibitors from service providers who are dedicated to supporting families of young people (aged 12 and above) with SEND. Over 20 exhibitors are looking forward to meeting you all and telling you about what they can offer you and your family. You will have the opportunity to browse and informally chat to service providers.
There are also many talks and workshops for you to attend during the event.
If a young person wishes to attend during school hours, parents can apply to schools to authorise this as an educational activity. Students would not then be marked 'absent' (however, parents must get permission from schools in advance to ensure this is properly registered for their young person).
