Teacher of History

MPS/UPS

Full time

We are looking for a well qualified and enthusiastic  teacher to join a successful and collaborative team to teach History from September 2024. The successful candidate will deliver high quality teaching and learning and will be a creative, motivational and effective classroom practitioner. They will raise attainment and progress and have a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes across the key stages.

History is a popular subject at both Key Stage 4 and 5, and A level teaching will be an essential part of the role. The ability to teach across the range of humanities disciplines is essential, particularly Geography.

If you are looking to be stretched and challenged and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to our students then we look forward to hearing from you.

Newly qualified teachers, wishing to gain wide subject experience in a supportive environment, or more experienced teachers who are seeking the opportunity to develop their teaching further are welcome to apply.

For an informal discussion with Dan Roberts, Headteacher, contact Sarah Nicholson, Head’s PA, at sarah.nicholson@dhsb.org or 01752 208787. Visits to the school are also welcome.

Please apply by application form by 9.00am on Monday 18 March 2024. Interviews will be held shortly after this date.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We also recognise, respect and value difference and understand that diversity is a strength.
