11 July 2014

The Summer Festival was in the hands of the Houses this year, overseen by Mrs Anstee.

A proper festival it was too, with Triple A headlining on the main stage and a plethora of side-stalls and diversions across the site including the ever popular crockery smash and ‘sponge the teacher’.

We welcomed friends and parents on site and there was sun and fun. Not a splash of mud or a Hunter welly in sight.

Education Reform Summit

Mr Roberts was one of 100 people invited to the first ever UK Education Reform event this week in London. The event consisted of a mix of leaders from schools and policy makers who were discussing ideas on how education in the UK will develop in the next few years. Mr Roberts had the opportunity to network and share the exceptional practice at DHSB.

There are many links in the national media. If you would like to read more about it please search for the Education Reform Summit 2014.

DHSB Today

The summer edition of DHSB Today was published this week. Those of you with sons in the school will have received your copy. Please enjoy reading this and then display on your coffee table to share with family and friends.

You can also link to the e-version here.

Efficient Exam Season

The summer exam season ran very smoothly and efficiently this year thanks to Mr Butcher, Mrs Waitt and their team of invigilators.

We’re looking forward to seeing Year 11 and 13 students again in August when they come in to collect their results.
