The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of students collecting their A level results in the Sixth Form Centre this morning.

Ms Davidson, Assistant Head Post-16, said, “I wholly expect the majority of our students to take up their university places with these super results. Although they are judged for their university entry on their grades, we are proud of them for so much more. In this cohort of leavers are young people who will make a difference to our society. They are so capable, ambitious and globally aware. I am delighted that so many of the students here this morning are resourceful and spirited and able to move forward with confidence and a fresh and innovative approach to their lives. They are a joy to work with! They’ll be remembered fondly for so much more than their exam results.”

Among the many students with confirmed university places are three who will take up their place at Oxford or Cambridge and five who will go on to study Medicine or Dentistry.
