Attendance Officer and Family Support Advisor

Grade E SCP 15 - 20 £29,093 to £31,586 (FTE)


Hours are negotiable from 32 - 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) including two enrolment days in August


Responsible to the Office Manager (Support Services).


We are seeking to appoint an energetic individual who will be responsible for the operational and administrative management of attendance across the school. The ideal candidate will be solution focused, have excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage our students and families. 


The postholder will work closely with students and families to remove barriers to learning, acting as a key link between home and school. This will include building positive relationships with parents and carers, offering advice and support on attendance, behaviour and family issues, and signposting to external services where appropriate. Alongside this, the role will provide administrative support to the school as required.


The minimum requirement for the post is term time only working (minimum 39 weeks to include non-pupil days) with the quoted salary range prorated accordingly. Hours are negotiable from 32 – 37 each week. 


In addition to excellent interpersonal skills, you should be a competent user of IT and understand its significance to the workplace. 


Home visits may be required for this job role so you will require a current UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
