I am a buyer for Kawasaki Precision Machinery. I am married with two children, playing and coaching hockey and still living in Plymouth.
I left school after A levels and ended up applying and getting a Junior Buyer role. I did that for a while but became restless for several years. I took a decision to find a career and manufacturing buying it was. I have travelled all over Europe and recently to Taiwan.
That generally I am laid back to the point of being horizontal but there are times when acceptance of what I think is wrong is out of the question and I will defend my position fully.
Embrace the school and what it has to offer. It’s a daunting place at first but you will find your way pretty quickly. Enjoy it, it passes too quickly
Well done you’ve survived, now to the next stage of your life – whether that is university or getting a job, the school has given you a good grounding that should stand you in good stead for many years. What you achieve is now down to you but whilst you may be measured by your successes it is how you deal with failures that eventually help you.
Mr Faulkner (former Deputy Head) thanks for the introduction to hockey, it’s kept me sane for nearly 30 years.
